Google continues to dominate the list of the most used search engines according to PEW Internet Research Project. In this course, techniques will be shown to make you a more effective Google searcher.
Course Objectives:
Basic understanding of how a Google search works
Develop search strategies for Google using command features
Focus your Google search for Grey Literature
Basic understanding of Google limitations and privacy concerns
Target Audience: All staff and students.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills

Cancellation: If you have registered for a Library workshop, and you are not able to attend, please email or call 416-864-5059. There may be a waiting list of people who want to attend. If there are less than three registrants the day prior to a workshop it will be canceled and registrants will be notified via email. Workshops with less than three attendees 10 minutes after the scheduled start time may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor.
