This week’s rounds will be presented by Aisha Lofters, a family physician and clinician scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital’s Department of Family and Community Medicine. The title of her talk is “The Peel Cancer Screening Study: A Multi-Phase Community Engagement Study”. Aisha will describe the findings, experiences and lessons learned from a multi-phase community-based participatory research study in Peel Region. The overarching objective of this study has been to work with the community to develop sustainable and accepted interventions to increase cancer screening for South Asians in Peel. Aisha completed her PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto in 2012 and is now an Assistant Professor at U of T.
