  1. How, why and when to protect your idea.
  2. How to commercialize your idea-what are the options?
  3. Examples of ideas successfully commercialized (physicians, researchers, hospitals, etc.)

Takeaways:   In this workshop, you will learn:

  1. How does an “idea” differ from an “invention”?
  2. What is patentable?
  3. Why are patents valuable?
  4. What are the different options for commercializing an invention?
  5. What legal steps do I need to take with my co-inventors (incorporation? shareholders agreement? assignments? confidentiality agreements?)
