Biography

Our research focuses on methods of screening for gestational diabetes and the impact of visceral adiposity in pregnancy on glycemia and perinatal outcomes. A second research collaboration exists with the Motherisk Unit at The Hospital for Sick Children. We have established a lacental perfusion lab at St. Michael’s Hospital and utilize it to study the placental transport of medications and drugs in a well validated in vitro model.

Please note: Dr. Berger is not taking any summer students in 2018.
