Description:
Conventional clinical trials are frequently very expensive, lengthy and rather inflexible in their response to accumulating evidence. In addition, they have a poor track record in making use of previously generated data. This talk will discuss the rationale of Bayesian approaches in clinical trials, give an understanding of the basic principles, and give examples of the possibilities of Bayesian approaches to increase efficiency and flexibility of clinical trials.
