Decoding the Toronto City budget process: a 101 for health care providers and researchers
The Toronto City budget process is starting again soon. It kicks off with a proposed budget in November (one that usually includes a number of potential cuts to services). Then, people have an opportunity to weigh in through analysis, deputations, and contacting City Councillors and the Mayor. City Council votes on a final budget in early 2018.
Join us on Dec. 6th from 10 – 11:30 am in room 241 (209 Victoria) as Beth Wilson, Senior Researcher at Social Planning Toronto tells us:
- What’s in the proposed 2018 Toronto City Budget
- Implications for health and social services
- Ways to intervene
Presented by the Centre Talks Committee and the Feedback Thursdays group from the Centre for Urban Health Solutions.
