The Patient and Community Engagement in Research Committee (PCERC) is hosting its first event to bring to life the three-level Resource Guide tailored to any researcher who intends to start learning or expanding their knowledge of equitable patient and community engagement in the design and implementation of research studies.

Please join us for this virtual event, open to all those just starting to learn to engage patients and community members, and those looking to apply some of the skills they may have. We encourage all attendees to review the Resource Guide prior to the event.

Getting started on engaging patients and community members on your research teams

• June 28th 12 pm – 1 pm
• This event will introduce two levels of the Resource Guide:
  • Level 1: Learn—introducing patient and community engagement in the design and implementation of research studies
  • Level 2: Apply—learning how to implement best practices for equitably engaging patients and community partners in designing and implementing research studies
• A community partner will speak about the importance of engaging patients and community members
