This hands-on workshop will provide participants with an understanding of some of the basic terminology, functions, and features of Excel. Participants will complete various instructor-led exercises and then they will have the opportunity to complete a worksheet exercise on their own.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the class, participants will be able to create a basic Workbook by doing the following:
Navigating between and labeling worksheets
Entering text, numbers, and formulas into cells using a variety of methods
Inserting, deleting and changing the size of rows and columns
Formatting cells by using colour, font, theme, border and sorting options
Target Audience: All staff and students.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills

Cancellation: If you have registered for a Library workshop, and you are not able to attend, please email or call 416-864-5059. There may be a waiting list of people who want to attend. If there are less than three registrants the day prior to a workshop it will be canceled and registrants will be notified via email. Workshops with less than three attendees 10 minutes after the scheduled start time may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor.
