Expert librarians will help you to quickly identify the best place to look for information you need and how to execute skilled searches.
In this interactive course, participants will engage with recommended pre-workshop resources, such as videos and tutorials. Workshop time will be used effectively for review, practice, and addressing specific questions from participants.
This course will help you to:
Navigate the library’s resources
Establish what type of information will answer your research question
How to develop search strategies
How to use subject headings and keywords
How to manage results

Target Audience: All staff and students.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills
Cancellation: If you have registered for a Library workshop, and you are not able to attend, please email or call 416-864-5059. There may be a waiting list of people who want to attend. If there are less than three registrants the day prior to a workshop it will be canceled and registrants will be notified via email. Workshops with less than three attendees 10 minutes after the scheduled start time may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor.
