In this interactive course, participants will engage with recommended pre-workshop resources, such as videos and tutorials to familiarize with Medline. Workshop time will be used effectively for review, practice, and addressing specific questions from participants.
Medline is a bibliographic database covering the fields of biomedical research and clinical sciences including medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, allied health and preclinical sciences. Medline’s citations and abstracts cover 5,000 medical journals published internationally. References are indexed using MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) from the U.S. National Library of Medicine’s controlled vocabulary. This session focuses on effective strategies for searching Medline.

Cancellation: If you have registered for a Library workshop, and you are not able to attend, please email or call 416-864-5059. There may be a waiting list of people who want to attend. If there are less than three registrants the day prior to a workshop it will be canceled and registrants will be notified via email. Workshops with less than three attendees 10 minutes after the scheduled start time may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor.
