PowerPoint is an important tool for communicating in academic, business, and research environments. This hands-on workshop will provide participants an opportunity to become familiar with the basic features of PowerPoint.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the class, participants will be able to create a basic PowerPoint presentation by:
- Creating slides and adding new slides
- Adding bulleted text
- Inserting clip art and images
- Using templates and slide designs
- Changing slide layouts
Target Audience: Staff and students with little to no previous experience using PowerPoint
Duration: 1 hour
Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills and mouse skills. Exposure to other Microsoft Office products, such as Word is recommended.

Cancellation: If you have registered for a Library workshop, and you are not able to attend, please email or call 416-864-5059. There may be a waiting list of people who want to attend. If there are less than three registrants the day prior to a workshop it will be canceled and registrants will be notified via email. Workshops with less than three attendees 10 minutes after the scheduled start time may be canceled at the discretion of the instructor.
