RCF/RTC Essentials in experimental research series: Practical experimental design and documentation workshop. A 3-part workshop series presented by RCF specialists Caterina Di Ciano-Oliveira and Pamela Plant.
The overall objective of this new series is to provide practical training in experiment design, preparation, setup and documentation.
Part 1. March 8th. Experiment documentation 101
Proper documentation is an essential tool for experiment design. Importantly, complete and clear documentation is a key professional obligation that defines whether your data are publishable. Nevertheless, this aspect of experimental work is often not well emphasized. This workshop will fill this important gap by providing practical tips on how to be efficient in keeping track of methodological details, how to document all aspects of your experiments and their analysis and how to maintain a complete and clear lab book. Attendees will also be asked to bring their own lab books for receiving tips on how to improve it.
Target audience: both beginner and more advanced trainees doing experimental research will benefit from this workshop. Space is limited, registration is required.
You must be registered with the St. Michael’s Hospital Research Training Centre to attend this event.
