  • Tell us about yourself and explain what motivated you to apply for the KRSS Summer Student Program.
  • Describe your research interests. We want to know more about the issues or topics that you are passionate about researching, and what you find interesting about them.

REVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESS

  • Eligibility Screen: All applications submitted on or before the deadline will be screened for eligibility requirements (i.e., applications are complete when submitted).
  • Application Review: Applications will be reviewed and selected by an evaluation committee. Selected applications will be provided to Researchers for consideration. We are striving towards having a panel of reviewers that will consist of mostly BIPOC staff, students and researchers.
  • Interview with Researchers: Researchers will decide which students they want to invite for an interview and will make the final hiring decision. (tips for preparing for an interview see these two sites: Indeed & UBC)

All applicants will be notified to confirm that their application was received/complete and if they made it to the interview stage by April 2022.
