Jeremy Hall




Dr. Jeremy Hall is an orthopaedic surgeon and trauma team leader at St. Michael’s Hospital and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Hall completed his Fellowship in Upper Extremity Reconstruction, Trauma and Ilizarov Reconstruction at St. Michael’s Hospital and obtained his Masters in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto.

Dr. Hall is the Director of Undergraduate Education for the Division of Orthopaedics at the University of Toronto. He has a strong interested in inter-professional education and collaboration and medical education policy. In 2017 he received the Complete Physician Award from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, St. Michael’s Hospital which recognizes one physician at St. Michael’s Hospital that best exemplifies an ongoing commitment to, and role modeling of, the CanMEDS Roles or Four Principles of Family Practice. He also received the Bruce Tovee Undergraduate Teaching Award from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, St. Michael’s Hospital which recognizes a staff member of the Department of Surgery who has made the greatest contribution to the educational activities of the Department. In 2020 Dr. Hall received the Donald J. Currie Undergraduate Teaching Award, Department of Surgery, recognizing excellence as an educator and as someone who spends time with students, stimulates their curiosity in the field and serves as a role model. Dr. Jeremy Hall is the current President of the Ontario Orthopaedic Association, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Hall has clinical interests in upper extremity joint replacement and reconstruction, complex fracture care and post-traumatic fracture reconstruction.  His research has focused on the care of patients with musculoskeletal injuries. He is involved in multiple clinical trials in orthopaedic trauma as well as various level I randomized controlled trials in upper extremity injuries, many of which have been awarded high honors in the orthopaedic community for their contributions to the understanding and management of patients with these injuries.
